Refined Wild Intimate Weddings & Events is a boutique wedding planning and design company in Muskoka and the surrounding area.

Hi! I’m Ainsley. My goal with Refined Wild is to work with couples to help create a memorable and personalized day utilizing my attention to detail and my passion for a beautifully designed and well-thought-out event. I am the founder and chief coordinator of Refined Wild and your go-to person when it comes to executing your wedding day.

I’ve been in the hospitality industry for over ten years. The majority of those years were in event management where I helped execute conferences and meetings of all sizes and importance. I loved being involved in helping clients bring all of their ideas and hard work to life. From there, I moved on to marketing, where I was able to nurture my creative side and learn everything from building a brand to digital marketing.

So why the transition into wedding planning?

For me, wedding planning has always been the end goal. The push that led to my career transition was planning and the experience of my own wedding – From developing the vision, to the DIY and selecting vendors, all the way to setting up, I was hooked on it. However, the big day arrived and instead of spending the morning relaxing with my girls, while we got ready, I was instead busy putting final touches on the day. The morning was spent fielding calls and visitors, setting up the last minute decor, helping vendors get what they needed and even chasing our dog after she escaped from the house. While I still went on to have a wonderful day, I was really was thrown off by my expectation vs. reality. Having someone there to be the point person, to run things and take care of the last minute to-dos would have allowed me and my husband to really immerse ourselves in this once in a lifetime experience of getting married.

So I get it, I’ve been there and I don’t want anyone else to make the same mistake I did! You truly deserve to enjoy the day you’ve worked so hard to put together.

Alongside our Design Lead, I help design, plan and coordinate beautiful weddings and unforgettable days that represent the start of your forever. I’m a sucker for romantic, timeless designs that centre around a couple’s love story.

My goal is for you to look back on your wedding day and feel nothing but happiness and fulfillment because it was everything you wanted it to be – and more.
